Right from the outset, Lenny’s team of Legends were quicker over the ground and faster with their ball use to show their Chirnside Park opponents a clean pair of heels in most contests. Particularly Razor Ray with the brightest set of boots since Dermott Brereton’s green monstrosities!! Rossco was everywhere getting possessions at will and snagging a couple of majors as well and he was ably supported by his midfield mates in Dicko, Toddy and Lenny. Down back Big Rich was in fine form, which is unusual for an Englishman, but when his mouth is shut, he goes alright! First gamer Graeme Williams was a revelation and was BOG for mine with strong intercept marking and long kicking. He looked so fit afterwards he wouldn’t have blown out a candle! Congrats to Captain Ash…..one from one!
