Supers vs Mordialloc
Round one saw 8 new players run out in the raiders Supers side which was exciting and great for the club . The Supers did battle with last years grand finalists Mordialloc, in a really dour low scoring physical contest . The game never really broken open throughout the 4 quarters, every goal was hard work. Mordi didn’t allow us to get our game going or get any real flow throughout . We also had some chances for goals that we let slip, but thats footy.
Being round one there was always going to be some cobwebs to blow off which we have hopefully done . Mordi Ran out winners By 9 points .
Although the loss was disappointing it was a great contest and a good showing against one of the top sides . Hopefully everyone got a feel for it, a lot of new players mixing together for the first time, onwards and upwards from here .
A few things to work on including our ball movement and some work around our kick ins which we will look to address over the next two weeks .
Need to focus on heading up to Dingley and getting the 4 points to kick start our season .
Well done to the Masters and Legends which both got off to great starts on Sunday .
Theres been a number of new players on track which has been great and some guys who didn’t play round 1 all looking to break into the side for round 2 . So everyone keep doing the right things ! Recover and load up again !
