Wordsmith Masters Match Report rd 7 & 8

Round 7 – saw us take on top of the table Parkdale at Parkdale.
Our game plan & structure had to undergo significant change to cater
for the conditions and the way the opposition go about their business.

The players responded well, listened to direction and stuck to their guns.
At three quarter time we were still well in the game but could not overcome
a well drilled Parkdale who knew how to play their own patch.

We were disappointed with a loss but could see that our team is really
competitive when the pressure is on.

Round 8 – Bayside at Bayside.
This game was a must win for our team if were to stand any hope of
keeping out post home and away season chances alive.
In near perfect conditions we took on a spirited Bayside Team that gave
us a run for three quarters.
The Raiders polished skills and class shone through and we broke the game
open to win by a comfortable margin.
Inaccurate kicking let us down again and this will need to be addressed if we
are to improve against more talented opposition.

away with three well deserved wins.
