Supers vs Carrum Well what a great result on Sunday on all accounts.
Wokka, myself and all the coaching staff were absolutely stoked with the results and output we were able to achieve.
Disappointing for the Legends not to get a game, then the masters got the day off to a great start.
From the Supers point of view we had quite a few guys go out with injuries or unavailable, and a number of guys come into the side. The theme of the day was play your role.
We spoken about it before the game, and also had an emphasis about taking our talk and voice to another level. Making each other accountable, and that was a huge improvement and stood out for all to see.
I think it’s fair to say that we played the best brand of footy on our home Mornington ground that I have seen since my time at the club over the last 3 or 4 years. And what a day to do it! As we oiled up the guns pre game and ran out in front of ladies day! Hope a good day was had by all there. Thanks to Gabe and the club for organising and putting that on.
Back to the footy, It’s was just great to see all our hard work come together. Guys that came into the side really stepped up, played their roles and had super games.
Our intensity was up and it was a full 4 quarter consistent performance by everyone, and to have 27 scoring shots to 9 just shows how dominant a display it was.
5 rounds down, half way through the season both supers and masters sitting on top, it’s exciting times. But there is alot of hard work and commitment still ahead of us to make things worthwhile . Nothing is certain when it comes to footy.
Keep doing All the right things with rehab, a lot of sore bodies at the moment, and keep committing to training and communicating with the coaching staff if you can’t train or can’t play or are injured.
Let’s keep building the momentum into the second half of the season!
Can’t wait . Go Raiders .
